The publishing of UIL Region 2 Policies/Procedures/Guidelines is to provide directors of participating organizations information relative to the operations of UIL music events in our region.  Contained herein are the guidelines and arrangements as developed through the region music executive committee for functional music events and carried out with sound educational qualities as uppermost priority.  UIL music activities in Region 2 are administered with a spirit of courtesy and cooperation among the participants and are conducted with discipline and decorum, maintaining the spirit and intent of the rules and regulations.

Directors and students and adjudicators and contest officials should instill by word and example, respect for all contest regulations and the graceful acceptance of adjudication.  The University Interscholastic League Constitution & Contest Rules provides the framework, structure and motivation for governing the music activities in the region and the policies and procedures are supplemented by "regional rules and regulations".
